Party Rock Tour: I’m In Detroit Bitch/Party Rock Thanksgiving

While the boys were back in LA performing “La La La” on Lopez Tonight on TBS and celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends, the leftover members of the Party Rock Crew celebrated at the Candlewood Suites in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Bikini Girl Nikole, Party Rock merch guy Daniel (or Danglin’ D, as he is telling me to refer to him as I type), lighting guy Reggie, bus driver Jeff and I had a Thanksgiving feast in our hotel room. It was pretty impressive, if I do say so myself. We traded stories about how we got started and how we got involved with LMFAO. Reggie and Jeff also sported the Party Rock glasses during the meal.

Tonight we had a show at Clutch Cargo’s in Pontiac, Michigan. “I’m in Motown, bitch,” Foo said to the audience. Paxon, our security guard, said, “that’s what they call it. Motown, or Murder City.”

They may call Detorit “Murder City”, but everyone here is fun, nice and totally down-to-earth.

Some highlights included a cop calling our manager Reek “Shwayze”, girls screaming like the Beatles were grabbing their hands when Sky reached out to the audience and Cisco and Shwayze randomly strolling across the stage, rocking no-lenses.

Random go-go dancers in bikinis appeared onstage during the “Boom Boom Pow” remix and Paxon, who was away from us for a week, pointed out new antics--Foo pouring a Corona down Bikini Girl’s bottoms and Sky shooting confetti all over Foo during “I Shake, I Move.”

Hands down, the best part of the night was when World Series of Poker champion, Joe Cada, joined us onstage for “Yes.” Foo had him start the song out by shouting, “everyday I see my dream.”

Cada, who lives here, previously joined us onstage for “Yes” in Las Vegas on the second night of the Party Rock Tour, prior to winning the WSOP.

After the show, some of us party rockers joined the Shwayze boys to celebrate DJ Jason Smith’s birthday at Tonic in Pontiac, Michigan. Detroit’s Amp Radio was there, playing LMFAO remixes while we did shots until  the club shut down.

Detroit Rock City was seriously one of the craziest stops on the Party Rock Tour to date. Next stop: Cleveland, Ohio!
