Party Rock Tour: I’m In Ohio Bitch
Shortly after waking up in Cleveland, Ohio today, the entire Party Rock Crew went out to eat at a Mexican spot downtown. It was the first time during the Party Rock Tour that we all got to sit down to a meal together.
After we ate (and drank, of course), the boys sat down for an interview with Midwestave.com. We were all treated to some hilarious stories, such as Foo’s tale of the “Crazy Russian”, an old friend whose gun played a humorous and pivotal role in their first Miami vacation. Pete left the green room during the interview and returned wearing his robot head. He somehow proceeded to drink a Corona through the screen on the robot’s face.
While this was the funniest interview I’ve ever seen, there was a serious note. “People that listen to our music are happy. We attract a different type of audience than a lot of other groups...people coming to see us are coming for a very different reason. They’re not listening to our music because they’re angry. They want to have fun,” Sky said.
The seriousness didn’t last long, however. When Foo began a heartfelt thank you to the fans, Sky and Pete started throwing chips at him. They landed in his hair, but he ate them as he continued to talk. Things progressed quickly as Pete launched plastic silverware, towels and other random objects at Foo. He flung a banana at his head and Foo actually ate it. Finally, Pete sprawled out in his lap and thrusted a Corona in his crotch while spraying it all over Foo’s face.

Tonight’s show at the House of Blues was a lot of fun. I was particularly impressed with Sky who, even though sick and congested, put on an amazing show. No one could have possibly known that he was feeling under the weather.
“Where are we?” Foo asked as he always does prior to launching into “I’m In Miami Bitch.”
“We were in Detroit last night,” he said. “Is this Detroit?” The crowd booed.
“I know where we are,” Sky said, “because I saw billboards with LeBron James in town.” The crowd went wild. There was a Cleveland Cavaliers game going on across the street tonight. They won 111-95 over the Dallas Mavericks.
Toward the end of the show, someone threw a purple bra onstage and Foo strapped it around his head. He rocked it, like headgear, during “La La La.”
Sky always attacks Foo with something when he touches his “La La La” girl. Sometimes it’s a chair; tonight it was a massive ladder he found backstage.
The Cleveland guys were even crazier than the girls tonight. They knew all the words and were shouting hilarious things at the girls onstage.

The boys are currently at an afterparty at Ultra here in downtown Cleveland. I missed the afterparty to help our Party Rock fashion guy Daniel with merch. We stayed at the venue for over an hour after the show ended, counting money and leftover merchandise, before loading everything into the Party Rock van. Working with Daniel tonight gave me a newfound respect for what he does--it’s sometimes a thankless job and it definitely isn’t as easy as it looks. It was tedious, but it was fun helping him out and doing something productive for Party Rock.

We’re off to Pittsburgh in seven hours. ‘Til then, party rockers!
