Party Rock Tour: I’m Still In Your Virginia Bitch (Richmond)
Probably my favorite thing about the Party Rock Tour is our time just hanging out on the bus together. After soundcheck today, DJ Air was telling us a story about how he busted ass and nearly got a concussion when Foo strolled on, belting out “Scream My Name” like he was in an opera.
Q and Air showed us photos of what they put up in lights during soundcheck--Air lit up the stage with, “Q HAS A BABY DICK”--before Q and Foo got into one of their daily sex debates.
Foo actually launched into a full-fledged sex demo, telling everyone how he tries some tantric method of taking it slow. He was doing all the motions and making all of the noises.
I’m not sure what it was in reference to, but Foo said, “I already do everything; do I have to give birth next, too?”
“Am I the dad?” Air whispered.
Later, we spotted a long line of flannel shirt-clad men through the bus window. “Is that a homeless line or are those the fans?” Foo asked.
There was an awkward silence. “That’s the bus line,” Daniel informed him.
After dinner, Foo climbed into bed for a pre-show nap. He was alone, but suddenly we heard long, exaggerated moans coming from his bunk.
We let him be to go check out the venue, the National in Richmond, Virginia. Having luxurious green rooms in the venues must be a Virginia thing because both last night and tonight, they had jacuzzis, among other ridiculously amazing amenities. There was even bottle service onstage.
Another familiar thing from last night’s show in Norfolk was the guy in the audience sporting a huge fro wig. He actually threw it onstage during Shwayze’s performance, but managed to keep it on his head during LMFAO.
Midway through the set, girls started flinging bras of all sizes onstage. The bra count was up to at least ten when Foo draped one over Air’s head and put one around his own neck while Sky actually put on a bra, which he wore for the rest of the show.
There were a lot of special moments, like Pistol Pete coming out in his horny robot costume to dance to “Bounce”, but the highlight of the night had to be Air peeing in a trash can in front of everyone on the side of the stage in between “La La La” and “Shots.”
It was another hilarious day on the Party Rock Tour. It’s hard to believe it’s coming to an end in just 10 days. I want to live on our tour bus forever.
