Party Rock Tour: I’M IN MIAMI BITCH
Back in 2007, Foo and Sky made the song, “I’m In Miami Bitch” in anticipation of the Winter Music Conference and the party energy surrounding it. Even though LMFAO calls Hollywood home, it was here that they really got their start. All of us have to credit this amazing city with getting us to where we are today--part of the Party Rock Crew; traveling the country with our friends, the Grammy nominated creators of this party anthem.
Tonight, LMFAO performed at Y100 Jingle Ball, alongside acts including Shakira, the Fray, Flo Rida, Timbaland, Jordin Sparks, Colbie Caillat, 3OH!3 and Jason Derulo.
While I wasn’t in attendance, Q told me that it was an amazing show. The crowd went crazy for the boys and they and were, quite possibly, the best act there.
There were a lot of celebrity sightings; singer/actress Brandy even rocked Foo’s “La La La” chain, given to her by Party Rock stylist/merch guy Daniel.
Meanwhile, Bikini Girl and I dined and drank on Ocean Boulevard. Our waiter loved my Party Rock glasses and, despite my pronouncement of being deathly ill, proceeded to feed us Sex on the Beach shots on the house. Moments like those really make you want to say, “I’m in Miami, bitch.”
We all re-grouped back at our hotel, the Fontainebleau. I like to think of it as a home-away-from-home for the Party Rock Crew. With the multiple pools, private beach, luxurious rooms and the greatest drink in the world, the Dragonfly, it’s very fitting for the Party Rock lifestyle.
LMFAO hosted an afterparty at LIV, the club inside the Fontainebleau, tonight. It’s currently 4:20 a.m. and it’s apparently still going on. The boys performed “I’m In Miami Bitch”, “Shots” and the remixes of the both songs. During “Shots”, our hardworking road manager Reek poured Patron shots for all of us.
Shortly after the performance, actor Wilmer Valderrama joined us in our VIP section. He had drinks with the crew and even rocked an LMFAO chain we gave him.
As a few of us strolled around the club, we were stopped several times by both LMFAO fans and uninformed fashionistas that wanted to try on our Party Rock no-lenses. I ducked out around 3 a.m. to do some work and as I was settling back to watch a marathon of Khloe and Kourtney Take Miami (which features “I’m In Miami Bitch” as the theme song), Kevin from Far East Movement came into my room with Bikini Girl to order some room service and check out our view.
“Are you writing the blog?” he asked.
Of course.
“How did I know? I read your tour blog everyday. It’s awesome,” he said.
That means a lot...we love our Party Rock Tour fam.
