Party Rock Tour Wrap-Up/I’m In McAllen Bitch

The day before yesterday, our tour bus pulled up to the venue in the last city on our tour,   McAllen, Texas. We kicked off our tour in places like Vegas and Hollywood, so it seemed like it would be a difficult feat for the small Texas town to match up. Instead, it turned out to be one of the most warm crowds, fun shows and craziest afterparties we’ve seen yet. The tour couldn’t have ended on a better note.

We kicked off the day as we typically did on the Party Rock Tour--in the late afternoon. We had police escorts accompany us to a big Mexican dinner. They even came to the bathroom with us. When the street lights turned red, they turned on their lights and took us through as if the president was riding with us. The cops turned out to be fans--they got a little giddy and wanted pictures with the boys.

Our dinner at the Mexican spot was filled with lots of pranks and laughter. Pistol Pete’s mom texted him saying, “You are my sunshine. Xoxo.” For some reason, he has his mom stored in his phone under her full name rather than “mom.” Sky and Foo got ahold of his phone and responded with something like, “I want to smack your ass.” Her response was, “Peter, this is your mother.” The boys wrote back, “You’re hot.”

“Is this Redfoo or Peter?” she asked. When she found out it was Foo, all was well. “How are you, honey? Can’t wait to see you in Vegas!”

Everyone cracked up. “She wants you!” [For the record, Pete’s mom is amazing, as are all of the Party Rock fam’s family members.]

The McAllen show was oversold and the venue was filled to the brim. There were fans as far as the eyes could see--some were crammed into corners and others were even standing on tables in the back. According to waiters and the venue’s employees, the Party Rock Tour was the hottest thing in town and everyone was talking about LMFAO.

Our last chant of the tour in our dressing room brought on all sorts of emotions--it was bittersweet as we were all so happy and proud with the success of the tour and the experiences we had along the way, but sad beyond comprehension to see it come to an end.

I experienced the show in a different way--rather than standing onstage with our tour manager, Reek, production manager, Uncle Frank, security guard “Paxton with a T”/Andrew, and the tour’s bikini girl, Nicole, I ran around, helping Pete record part of the show, getting a photography lesson from some local media and getting caught in the rain of confetti during “Yes.” I hadn’t come onstage for “Yes” since the Portland tour date way back in early November, so it was a much-needed celebration. That song is so representative of the entire Party Rock Crew. We see our dreams everyday. We’re ending the tour with countless memories, inside jokes and a Grammy nomination for LMFAO.

Fans pulled me after “Yes” and told me the show was unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.

“Ya’ll did great. I’ve never seen McAllen like this,” one girl said.

We had our last Party Rock Tour afterparty at a spot called Volta. For the first time during the tour, DJ Air was spinning at the afterparty. I spent the night in the DJ booth with Air and Foo--later, we were joined by Sky and Far East Movement. It was the best afterparty of the tour, in my opinion, not only because Air was killing it, but because the boys performed our favorite song off the album, “Scream My Name” and Foo was the MC for the night, hyping up the crowd and giving shout-outs to the crew.

“Tonight is the last night of the Party Rock Tour...I’d like to thank the best tour manager ever, Nate Johnson...DJ Air, Q the dancer, Elle the publicist, Nikole the bikini girl, Frank the production manager, Paparazzi Pete...shout-out to Paxton with a ‘T’...what’s up to Daniel!” he said.

I’d like to thank Foo and Sky for creating this unbelievable life for all of us and for being the masterminds behind the Party Rock movement. “I see all of us being millionaires,” Sky told me a couple weeks ago. “Not just me and Foo, but all of us. I see this bringing everyone success.” We are definitely on our way.

When we flew from LA to Reno back on November 5, we were all friends first, and co-workers, of course. After the first week, we were like family. Now, I don’t know how I’d live without the guys. Q and Air are like my brothers and everyone has their own special relationship. After being on the road together for so long, especially living in such close quarters on a tour bus for two months, you can’t break that bond and you can’t exactly go back to living a what most would consider a normal life. This is why we haven’t even been back for a day and I’m already ready to get back on the tour bus.

We landed in LA yesterday with empty stomachs and poorly packed suitcases overflowing with dirty laundry. It felt great to be back, if only for a little while. The boys have a week off before doing spot dates for a couple weeks, heading to Europe and kicking off the Black Eyed Peas tour in Atlanta in February. I’m in LA for a couple days until I head to NYC for a little while. I’ll see the boys there in a couple weeks and I hope I’ll get to join them on the Peas tour. As far as Uncle Frank and Paxton, they’ll be there, too. Daniel is now officially a Party Rock designer and is styling Foo and Sky for the Grammys, which take place on January 31.

Thank you to all of the fans, Party Rock family members, Far East Movement and everyone else that religiously read this blog over the past couple months. When I’m not working on our other PR tasks, I will continue to document our adventures and maybe one day, we’ll have a big book, filled with all of the funny stories and photos from the road, first captured here.

Keep party rocking, everyone!

I want to say thanks as well. I was at this last show & i can honestly say this by far is the best day of my life. The crowd was heavy and i somehow, through pushes and screams made my way to the front. Well worth it because sexy Redfoo chose me to go on stage!(: The best day of my life. One that i will never forget.
