Party Rock Tour: I’m In Portland Bitch
Our 16-hour drive from Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon was filled with random adventures. Foo purchased a 50 dollar, giant stuffed white tiger and proceeded to have me take over 25 photos of him cuddling with it, we watched a movie, listened to potential “Shots” remixes, came up with my new Twitter and PartyRockPeople name (ElleGThang, thanks to Foo) and, of course, slept until 1 p.m. yesterday.When we woke up, we all grabbed some Mexican food (that was a little to gourmet for the guys) at a spot in Portland. Our hotel, the Jupiter Hotel, was beyond amazing. Not only was it edgy and eco-friendly, it was as if they knew LMFAO was coming (no pun intended). They had Jupiter Hotel condoms set out on the nightstands with signs reading, “YES” right below them.
The hotel also provided us with chalk, so Nikole and I decorated the doors of everyone in the Party Rock Crew. We attempted to write a special message for our security guard, Paxon, on his hotel room door, but it turned out there was a young, gay couple in the room he was assigned. It was awkward, but we made friends.
When Nikole and I went to buy some Jupiter Hotel thongs (which say, “Get a Room”), we noticed that there was an LMFAO screensaver up on the hotel computer. We then turned to find a mannequin in the lobby rocking the Party Rock glasses. The hotel staff and visitors loved it and took pictures of us with our Party Rock mannequin, Lily.
After we all stocked up on healthy food for the bus (and DJ Air exploded a huge container of strawberries), we went into the Hawthorne Theatre so the boys could take the stage. Grandma Goodfoot was with us (for those of you who don’t know, she is Sky’s grandmother and the reason why LMFAO is called LMFAO) onstage, as well. She was wearing her LMFAO chain with pride and her license plate even says, “LMFAO-G.” The G doesn’t stand for “grandma,” though, she says. It stands for “gangsta.”
Sky and Foo brought Grandma Goodfoot up to dance to “Shots.” She also had an important announcement for the audience: “I’m in Portland, bitch!”
After the show, we went back to the hotel for our own little afterparty. It was nice and relaxing to just have the Party Rock Crew hanging out in the hotel room, sipping some Goose and following LMFAO fan Joe Cada’s win in the World Series of Poker. Congratulations, Joe (Joe party rocked with us in Vegas on November 6. He is the youngest WSOP winner ever)!
We left for Canada at 2 a.m., but stayed up on the bus having our hilarious and interesting chats as always. We’re now at the border and Air, Foo and I are hanging out in the backroom. Air just quietly said, “I’m not wearing underwear. I felt like I should tell somebody because I feel like it’s a secret.”
Next stop: Vancouver, BC!
