Party Rock Tour: I’m Up In Kansas Bitch
Lawrence, Kansas is a pretty cool spot. There are a lot of funky shops and restaurants and everyone loves their college football, about as much as Nebraskans love their corn.
After thrift shopping with the Shwayze boys, Reek, Nikole and I had dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. The paparazzi were out in full force, but it turned out they weren’t there for us, but for the University of Kansas football coach. The entire restaurant applauded when he walked in.
At the show at the Granada Theatre (which was sold out, of course), Foo told the audience that we were in Nebraska last night. The crowd booed until he said, “Is this Nebraska? Hello no. I’m up in Kansas, bitch!”
The boys also switched up the lyrics to “What Happens At The Party”, making it “what happens up in Kansas, stays up in Kansas.” Pete’s robot dance cracked the audience up at the beginning of the song.
Before launching into one of the remixes, Sky did his usual speech about how, if you’re down with Party Rock, you must love to party, drink and fuck, but took on the voice of a preacher. “The favorite one of the Party Rock congregation is this: you must LOVE…to fuck!” he said to roaring applause.
Tonight’s show was one of the most wild to date. When security pulled girls out of the crowd, Foo actually pulled them onstage. Nearly everyone touring with us was watching the show from the side of the stage, a giant stuffed monkey head emerged, courtesy of Far East Movement and Cisco poured about a quarter of a bottle of Patron into Q’s mouth.
During “Shots”, Cisco went back onstage and poured the rest of the bottle of Patron all over the crowd. After “Yes”, Foo took Air’s spot in the DJ booth, jumping up and down while playing some bomb music, including the “Let’s Get Crazy” LMFAO/Cassie remix.
The party continued back on the bus. Everyone made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Foo made a grilled cheese in the microwave. Girls knocked on the bus door while we watched Pete’s hilarious footage from after the show. We also found out that Shwayze and Cisco locked one of their guys and a girl in the luggage bay under the tour bus.
After another crazy night, we’re going to sleep (at 4 a.m.). It’s off to St. Louis, Missouri in two hours.
